Our verdict

For custom Next.js builds where editors work often, Sanity is a solid content backend: editing is structured and real-time, and the editor is configured in code to fit the site. It does need a developer to set up, and a query language to learn.

What the entry plan includes

  • Free, $0: up to 20 user seats, 2 permission roles, 2 public datasets.
  • Growth, $15 per seat a month: up to 50 seats, 5 roles, private datasets, comments and scheduled drafts.
